Top Film & Television Apps Performance in Turkey Q1 2024

In the first quarter of 2024, the top five film and television applications in Turkey displayed varied performance metrics across revenue, downloads, and active users, as tracked by Sensor Tower.

Netflix experienced significant fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at around $20K in mid-January before dipping to approximately $9.2K at the end of January. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a notable peak of 96K in the third week of January. The app maintained a high number of active users, starting at 2.7M and reaching just over 2.4M by the end of March.

tabii saw its highest downloads in late January, reaching 118K, but experienced a gradual decline to about 48K by the end of March. Active users started at 693K and peaked at 817K in late January, before slightly decreasing to 741K towards the end of the quarter.

TV+ Movies, Series & Live TV showed a steady revenue stream, consistently around $15K to $19K throughout the quarter. Downloads fluctuated slightly, with a high of 56K in mid-March. Active user numbers saw a significant rise from 94K at the start of January to approximately 127K in late February, before stabilizing around 113K.

Disney+ maintained strong weekly revenue, peaking at $92K in late March. Downloads were highest at 53K in mid-January but gradually declined to about 29K by the end of March. Active users followed a downward trend, starting at 479K and falling to 364K by the end of the quarter.

BluTV had more modest revenue figures, peaking at around $5.3K in early January. Downloads hovered around 38K to 41K, with a slight dip to 33K at the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 282K and ending at 280K.
